Wabbajack Troubleshooting
If you encounter errors during the installation process, check the common issues below.
Could not download mod
Download the mod manually from the provided link, then move the archive (.zip/.7z/etc) into your Anomaly Downloads folder. Do not extract it. Relaunch Wabbajack to continue.
Mod is not a whitelisted download
This usually means the modlist has been updated recently. Check the Discord for the latest version.
Missing game files
Ensure your game is updated to the latest Steam version. Wabbajack requires the "next-gen" files to correctly perform the downgrade and patching process.
Wabbajack could not find my game folder
Ensure you own a legitimate copy of Fallout 4 on Steam and that it is currently installed. Pirated or GOG versions are not supported.
ENB download issues
If the ENB download fails automatically, download it manually here and place the archive in your Downloads folder without extracting it.
Network & Nexus Problems
Mod hidden or updated
This happens when a mod is changed on Nexus.
- Check Nexus Mods Status.
- Try downloading the mod manually and placing the archive in your Wabbajack downloads folder.
- Restart Wabbajack and it will find the file.
Slow download speeds
Nexus caps speeds for free users. Consider Nexus Premium for uncapped, automated downloads.
